Twizzle, twizzle, twizzle...and doubles in unison twizzles.
Little sleep is happening, those darn Olympics. Ice Dancing finals...our Canadian couple Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir just finished there skate and it was beautiful...I hope gold is on the way, but while they are skating the commentators are talking about twizzles...is that a technical term? Just the fact that they are using the word twizzle makes me love the sport!

snow...
hello there snow, it's been so long.
where have you been?
have you been visiting other people?
i have missed you so...
your fluffy chubby flakes, that fall like soft kisses on my cheeks,
the way you wrap yourself like a blanket around the city,
your tiny ball like flakes, that glitter in the light.
the way you make it feel calm and quite,
playing in soft fluffy until your nose is cold
inside to warm jammies
hot chocolate with mini marshmallows.
hot chocolate with mini marshmallows.
next time don't go for so long...i miss you.

Gnomes, Olympics and MORE! fabric buying....
Who'd of thought curling would be so exciting? I don't know if it's a sign of my old age, but I am finding the curling games just so intriguing. I am so excited to share that my favourite fabric designer Heather Ross is going to be reproducing a line of fabric with Spoonflower! GNOMES, MUSHROOMS...in bright colours what can be better. I wasn't sure if it was okay to add pictures from her blog but check it out. While your there there is also a sneak peek of her new line that is coming out.
Enough about fabric, I also really love kids books and stories. Here is link to one of my favourites.

Well as I am sitting enjoying the olympics....GO CANADA!!!! whoohooo! I am searching other blogs and flickr groups, long story short, I joined flickr. I don't really get it and I feel like an old fart but I hope in the months to come it will be like second nature to me.
Oh, and on a second note the first quilt of the year is almost finished! It's a memory quilt for a member of the family, I am really excited about it. I will post pics here and on flickr I (I hope I can figure it out:)!

Just to much commitment.
The picture a day thing is probably not going to work for me...I am a bit of a hermit right now, so interesting pics will have to wait until I decide I want to leave the house for things other than work and food....and the occasional trip to the gym. SO...I will endeavor to post something every day. Here is today's little lovely thing, when you need a bit of a smile watch this! I found this via one of my favourite blogs...it's just the best. ENJOY.

Where are the days going.......?
Here we are in mid-February and I have only posted once! So today I am turning a new leaf and will bombard the web with my useless ramblings...are they still called that if they are typed? With a few pics thrown in.
After looking at a few blogs that I love, I have decided to follow suit and try to post a picture for everyday...with official training as a photographer that shouldn't be to hard right?! (We'll see) To start of strong here are 3! pictures from a lazy "family day" off, alone in a big quite house.
